Das Haus des Bürgermeisters Stickel ist das einzige repräsentative Barockhaus in Hirschhorn, was auch die wirtschaftlichen Nöte in dieser Zeit wiederspiegelt. Die Kartusche verrät den Bauherren: ‚Den wohlachtbaren Johann Jakobum Stickel derzeit Senior des Rats und s(eine) t(ugendhafte) e(hrba)re Frau Annan Maria Theres geborene Ackermännin.‘

 

 

Baroque Town Residence 1728

The fact that the house built by Mayor Stickel in 1728 is the only example of baroque architecture in Hirschhorn is a reflection of the economic problems of this period. The cartouche over the door is a public record of the achievement and wealth of the house builder, Mayor Stickel, and his wife.

 

Maison bourgeoise de style baroque de 1728

La maison du maire Monsieur Stickel est le seul bâtiment représentatif du style baroque de Hirschhorn. Il reflète les problèmes économiques de cette époque. La cartouche nous dévoile le maître d’ouvrage: « A  l’honorable Johann Jakobum Stickel actuellement Président du Conseil et sa vertueuse et respectable épouse Madame Anna Maria Theres, née Ackermann »
